The forest is nothing without the trees. If it is harmful to the individual, it is harmful to society. It is not a Free Market Economy vs. a Mixed Economy or Command Economy. It is economic slavery governed by a ruling elite vs. peaceful people engaging in voluntary and consensual interaction. A regulation is strangulating the entrepreneur/employer by means of violent legislation. A tax is currency that is extorted from an individual or business by the threat of kidnapping or death should that individual resist. Both taxes and regulations divert precious resources away from production and customer satisfaction in order to placate the political megalomaniacs who will waste that stolen currency on pork barrel projects, boondoggles, and violent occupations, invasions, assassinations, drone strikes, genocide, and overseas war. They drive up prices and sacrifice quality in the marketplace. It is one giant Broken Window Fallacy. It is always a lose-lose proposition.

Peaceful Parenting Breaks the Cycle of Violence

As a parent our first duty is to shield our children from overt injury as best we can without being over-bearing and smothering. I wouldn’t let my toddler play in a street with passing cars or play with knives. However I will not spank them for doing so. The fact that they do such things is more the parent’s fault than the child’s fault. Inflicting artificial pain only teaches them to use violence to solve their problems. If they are too young to reason, spanking them makes no sense as they cannot yet determine cause and effect. If they are old enough to reason then spanking is lazy parenting as it is resorting to violence when reasoning and calmly explaining things would be much more effective. Indeed how do you expect your child to begin reasoning if you demonstrate your lack of reasoning with them?

Law Enforcement Legal Plunder Hypocrisy

There are many blatant double standards that clothe the local monopoly on violence known as law enforcement. When some people are given superhuman rights over other people simply by virtue of their shiny piece of metal, costume, or special hat and are thus able to interpret the arbitrary political edicts at their discretion to murderous ends with immunity, it is quite apparent that we do indeed live in a state of chaos and disorder. They are entirely unaccountable for their actions and do not respond to the incentives and feedback mechanisms that bind the actions of a private security agency. Regardless of their heinous actions they will get paid through extorted funds, so what then is the incentive to treat the populace as customers to be satisfied? Rather the populace is viewed more and more as sheep to be frightened into submission.
