Liberate RVA would like to invite you to our Freedom Gathering for the celebration of Anarchy Day at the Clockworks Collective!
Are you new to anarchy? Have you ever heard of the non-aggression principle? Would you like to be a part of a growing community of people with shared values for non-violence, honesty, and friendship? Come find out more about what this freedom movement is all about, and let’s discuss ways on what we can do together to help liberate our city from the idea that violence will set us free.
Mark your calendar for the 4th of July should any of these activities interest you!
Freedom Demonstration | 3 – 5 p.m.
We’ll be out spreading the philosophy of freedom at Dogwood Dell in the afternoon near the Carillon bell tower. Along with the Voluntaryism and Peaceful Parenting pamphlets, we have 500 of our new Anarchy pamphlets to pass out!
Community Potluck | 7:30 p.m.
We’re starting the fun with an omnivorous potluck! So please bring your favorite dish or drink to share (synapses need fuel). This is also a BYOB event. A grill and Tawny Port will be provided by your friendly neighborhood anarchists.
Freedom Party | 8:30 p.m. – 11 p.m.
We’ll be lighting the fire pit afterwards in the backyard with fun selections of outdoor movies to watch on the projector screen. So bring a piece or two of wood to burn, your favorite stick for roasting hotdogs, and any musical instruments you would like to play. Along with live music by Aeon Yahweh there will also be an enchanting sword dancing performance by the lovely Erzulie!
