Liberate RVA would like to invite you to our 5th Freedom Gathering at the Maplewood Anarchy Garden!
Come find out more about what this freedom movement is all about, and let’s discuss ways on what we can do together to help liberate our community from the idea that violence will set us free.
Mark your calendar should any of these activities interest you!
We’re starting the fun with an omnivorous potluck! So please bring your favorite dish or drink to share (synapses need fuel). This is also a BYOB event. Tawny Port will be provided by your friendly neighborhood anarchist. ::smiles::Freedom Discussion | 8:15 p.m.
Like sharing food and wine, philosophy is also about sharing our love for wisdom – to ultimately get us to a better place. Let’s pool our brilliant minds together and discuss ways on how to help plant the seeds of freedom in our community.
Freedom Party | 9:30 p.m.
We’ll be lighting the fire pit afterwards in our backyard with fun selections of outdoor movies to watch on the projector screen. So bring some blankets, hot dogs and marshmallows! Live music will also be generously provided by one of Richmond’s most talented and amazing musicians, Mr. Strings.
Most importantly, let’s get to know one another. This event is really about creating a community of people founded on shared values for non-violence, equality, and freedom. We’re also collecting donations for the Richmond Zine Fest to help offset the cost of setting up and running the event. Your local community would greatly appreciate any amount of donation, from loose change to bills.
So invite your friends! Anyone who values the non-aggression principle and wants freedom in our lifetime can join, too!
